Responsible for the provision of direct medical care at the TB clinic and assigned health center(s) within the scope of practice, in accordance with established standards of care (85% of time). Works with the Medical Epidemiologist, TB Program Coordinator and/or Practice Manager to achieve clinical and practice goals set by LCHD/CHC, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Illinois Department of Health (IDPH). In the absence of the Medical Epidemiologist and the Medical Advisor, the Physician will serve as the site provider supervisor for the providers (Physicians, APNs, and PAs) at their assigned location (15% of time). This position is directly supervised on a day to day basis for administrative and clinical direction by the TB medical director, Medical Epidemiologist, TB Coordinator and/or Practice Manager, while receiving direction on onboarding and development, from the administrative Clinical and/or Prevention team.
